La Géorgie est un pays du Caucase, situé sur la ligne de division entre l’Europe et l’Asie. La capitale de la Géorgie est Tbilissi, et la monnaie est le Lari.
La Géorgie est l’une des premières nations à adopter la religion chrétienne comme religion officiel, au début du IV° siècle. Au début du XIX° siècle, la Géorgie est annexée par la Russie impériale, mais récupère son indépendance en 1918. Elle est ensuite incorporée en tant que république au sein de l’Union Soviétique.
L’indépendance de la Géorgie est restauré en 1991 .Le pays accumule pendant la décennie 1990 les difficultés financières et des guerres d’indépendance perdant un partie de son ancien territoire. Un nouveau président arrive au pouvoir après la révolution des roses.
La Géorgie est une république présidentielle. Le pays est membre de l’Organisation des Nations Unie, du conseil de l’Europe, de l’Organisation Mondiale Du Commerce, de la Coopération économique de la mer noire, et de l’alliance GUAM .La Géorgie tente de devenir un membre de l’OTAN et, à plus long termes, de l’Union Européennes.
La Géorgie a des frontières avec la fédération de Russie au nord, l’Azerbaïdjan à l’est, l’Arménie au sud et la Turquie au sud-ouest. Le pays couvre un territoire de 69 000 km², sa population, est de 4,4 Millions d’habitants.

Georgiawas one of the first countries to adopt Christianity in the 4th century. At the beginning of the 19 th century, Georgia was annexed by the Russian empire. After a brief period of independence following the Russian the Russian revolution of 1917, Georgia was invaded by the Bolshevik armies in 1921 and incorporated into the Soviet Union in 1922.
The independence of Georgia was restored in 1991. Like many post-communist countries, Georgia suffered from the economic crisis and civil unrest during the 1990’s.
After the rose’s revolution, the new political leadership introduced democratic reforms but the foreign investment and economic growth witch followed initially have slackened substantially since.
Georgia constitution is that of a representative democracy organized as a unitary, semi presidential republic. The country aspire to joint NATO and European union.
